ASIST Training

A two day skills-based workshop that helps equip caregivers for an effective suicide intervention role.

Camcare and Livingworks Australia ran a two day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Workshop on 17 & 18 July 2008.
ASIST helps increase people’s ability to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and reach out in a supportive way that links them with further resources.

The skills learnt through ASIST are beneficial in everyday situations, professional work, or volunteering, and can be applied in many settings; with family, friends, and more formal helping situations.

This program is proudly supported by Hawthorn Community Chest.

If you are interested in going to a course in the future contact Camcare to find out when the next ASIST program will be held.
