Counselling - Individual, Youth, Family, Relationships

Counselling services at Camcare provide support and assistance to individuals, young people, couples and families experiencing difficult or challenging life issues.

New counselling services are available to:

Parents of children with a disability; parents of primary students or young people; older residents; and mothers experiencing or at risk of Post Natal Depression;

To access this service, ask for the Intake and Assessment Worker when contacting Camcare.

Community Information and Referral

Camcare volunteers provide community information and referral to clients. In addition to providing information about services in the community, assistance is also provided in linking people to Camcare's counselling and support services.

Integrated Family Services

Camcare is a partner organisation in the Inner East Integrated Family Services Alliance. In October 2008, ChildFIRST was launched as the central point of intake for families referred to or seeking support from family services in the Inner East metropolitan region.

Camcare's Integrated Family Services Program assists vulnerable and at-risk children and their families to develop, maintain and strengthen their family functioning, enhance their independence and improve community connections and access to community resources. Utilizing a home visiting case work model of service, Camcare is committed to working with families to meet their goals.

Assistance is also given on organising finances with budgeting strategies.

Emergency Relief

Emergency Relief Programs assist families and individuals who struggle on very low incomes and also face crises such as illness, violence, homelessness and family breakdown.

Emergency relief is provided in the form of food parcels, financial assistance in paying household bills, food vouchers and medical prescriptions
